Short courses: We now offer delegates the opportunity to attend a flexible short course day in which the delegates can choose which courses they wish to attend in three 3-hour sessions.
You don’t have to attend every short course in the day, just the ones you would like to attend.
Fire Marshal / Warden
Also known as a Fire Warden course, this training session is designed to give delegates an understanding of how to deal with specific hazards and how to lower risk in the workplace in the event of an emergency.
This course can be delivered on a half day or one day basis, and is tailored for those who need training with the use of abrasive wheels on site, or with other grinding and cutting tools.
UKATA Asbestos Awareness
On completion, course delegates should be able to identify the materials asbestos could be used in and where it can be found, all while gaining an understanding of the asbestos health risks and procedures.
Traffic Management / Banksman
Anyone who works on the roads, including construction workers and highway inspectors, will benefit from this course that covers all aspects of delivering high quality traffic management and safety compliance.
Working At Heights
While it is advised that individuals must avert from working at heights as much as feasible, safety training is still required not just for those in construction work, but for maintenance and emergency services too.
This course teaches delegates how to manage and lift heavy loads correctly and how to avoid injury.
Safety Harness Training
This course is specifically designed for anyone who works regularly whilst wearing a harness or lanyard for support. A poor fitting harness can prove very dangerous; that is why training is vital for those who commonly use a harness whilst working at height.
Safe Use Of Ladders & Step Ladders
The course aims to ensure the delegates attending are competent in using a ladder or a stepladder and know when it is an appropriate situation to use them. Anyone who works above two metres is deemed to be working at heights so therefore if you use a ladder in your occupation this course would be very beneficial for the safety of you and others.
The one day COSHH course is devised to inform delegates of the dangers of chemical substances. The course aims to make sure that you or your company follows the relevant rules and regulations.
The half day Sharps training course provides raises awareness of the dangers associated with sharp objects and handling them incorrectly. The course also covers the health risks and safe handling and disposal of sharp objects.
Vehicle Banksman training assures that an organisation works along side with the relevant legal requirements. It is designed to help reduce damaging accidents when carrying out vehicle manoeuvres. Almost a quarter of all vehicle based fatalities that occur due to a reversing vehicle at work.
Fire Awareness Training
The half day Fire Awareness training course is designed to make employees aware of the dangers of fire and the risks around the workplace.
This half day course aims to promote an understanding of the risks caused by Legionella and the legal responsibilities surrounding it.
This classroom based course ensures that delegates are competent in conducting acceptable and satisfactory risk assessments whilst complying with the law.
Fire Risk Assessment
This half day Fire Risk Assessment classroom based course allows you to gain the relevant knowledge to be able to complete a fire risk assessment that complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
