You need to complete a Construction related NVQ at Level 6 or 7. The qualification is vital for those who are or are wanting to become a good Site Manager.

This qualification is for delegates who oversee large projects and sites and work in a site management role. The learner will need to demonstrate that they have the credentials that come with a site management role to complete the process.
This qualification is for delegates who lead and control construction projects. Those who are involved with the likes of design, estimation and procurement would complete this NVQ.
Further development can lead to senior management opportunities. The qualification is also recognised as meeting professional standards at MCIOB level by the CIOB.
On their own, SMSTS qualifications are not sufficient if you want to apply for a CSCS card. To being the process of applying for a CSCS card you will need to obtain an appropriate level NVQ for the specific card you want to apply for.
