This online training course will help your organisation work towards compliance with the Fire Safety Order 2005. Assigning a responsible person with the duties of a Fire Warden demonstrates due diligence and commitment to implementing emergency fire procedures at work.

In the first section, we cover the nature of fire, the ways in which it works and how it spreads. Additionally, we’ll cover smoke and the dangers of it.

In the third section, we look at The Fire Safety Order (FSO) and the first half of a Fire Warden’s Proactive Duties. These are routine, preventative tasks which must be taken to reduce the risk of a fire starting. This includes:

The fourth section covers the second half of a Fire Warden’s duties, which are reactive duties that must be taken during fire drills, emergencies and evacuations.
We also cover clear leadership and human behaviour so that wardens know what to expect from their colleagues and what their colleagues will expect from them.

The final section of the course teaches wardens about when it is safe to fight a fire and when it isn’t.
