The CSCS Green Card is crucial for anyone looking to work as a labourer on a construction site. It serves as proof of your competency in basic health and safety, which is a fundamental requirement in the construction and civil engineering sectors.

How to Get a CSCS Green Card

Step 1: Classroom-Based CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course

The CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course is a one-day training session that covers essential health and safety knowledge for new entrants and existing workers on a construction site. The course includes topics such as:

  • General responsibilities for health and safety at work
  • Understanding of health and safety law
  • Accident reporting and recording

The health and safety training at 3B is highly interactive, delivered through a range of group work, discussions and presentations. We offer a range of delivery options to suit you, including our public online course delivered via Zoom, public classroom courses at one of our venues across the UK or via eLearning, which can be completed at your own pace.

The course is designed to provide you with a fundamental understanding of health and safety practices in the construction industry. It is especially beneficial for newcomers to the field, helping to ensure you can work safely and effectively from day one.

Completing this course not only enhances your safety but also makes you a more attractive candidate to potential employers.

The certificate you receive upon completing the CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course is valid for five years.
