The NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is for professionals responsible for implementing health and safety in the workplace. This qualification proves your competency in your current role and helps you develop your skills further.

You must complete all units and provide relevant evidence. Once finished, an assessor reviews your portfolio, gives feedback, and then submits it to an IQA for final approval.

You receive an assessor who supports you through the ePortfolio system (Bud). They arrange an induction—either remote or on-site—to plan your evidence gathering.
The assessor checks your progress regularly to keep you on track.

Most learners complete the NVQ in 4–6 months.
The format is flexible, allowing you to arrange calls, evidence submissions, and assessments around your workload.
After passing, you apply to CSCS directly with your NVQ certificate details.
You must also pass the relevant CITB Health, Safety, and Environment test before submitting your application.
