NVQ Level 4 Construction Site Supervision is a competence-based qualification for assistant site managers and supervisors working in the construction sector for a main contractor.
This NVQ Level 4 construction will further enhance the skills needed to be a qualified and effective supervisor.
NOTE: You will need approx. 2 years of experience in the role related to this NVQ, and currently be working in a relevant role.

You can use this NVQ to show that you are knowledgeable and competent in your role as a Construction Site Supervisor.
The NVQ assessor will assess you on-site through a range of methods.
This includes professional discussions, witness testimonials, observations, written questions and evidence generated from the workplace.

You will also have a selection of mandatory and optional units to choose from, depending on the pathway you choose.
You will need to complete all the units to show that you are competent enough to receive the qualification. The assessor will then review your work and provide any feedback.
Once you have responded to the feedback, the IQA will then receive the portfolio. Finally, the IQA will decide whether the qualification is complete, or if any additional evidence is needed.

Upon enrolment
You will be given an assessor. The assessor will work with you to build a portfolio of evidence via our ePortfolio system Bud.
They will also arrange a remote or on-site induction
The induction is used to plan out how you will gather the relevant evidence to complete the course.
The assessor will also regularly review your progression to ensure that you are keeping on track.

Most learners complete the NVQ in 4–6 months. The format is flexible, allowing you to arrange calls, evidence submissions, and assessments around your workload.
After passing, you apply to CSCS directly with your NVQ certificate details.
You must also pass the relevant CITB Health, Safety, and Environment test before submitting your application.
