The Food Safety – Level 1 course is designed to inform the delegate on basic food handling in the workplace. Food hygiene is important for everyone who is part of the preparation, storage, packaging, processing and handling of food. All the subjects covered in the course are in line with the Food Standards Agency.
Who is it for:
Those who are involved in handling food in the manufacturing/retail/catering industries in a low risk environment
The course covers the following topics:
- Personal responsibility when handling food
- Personal hygiene
- Keeping work areas clean and hygienic
- Keeping food safe
What is Required to Pass the Food Safety – Level 1?
To pass the course the delegate must complete an end of course examination. The exam contains 15 questions and delegates must get a minimum of 66% to pass.
There are no prerequisites for this course; it is advised that you have at least an equivalent to a Level 1 qualification in English and Maths.
Further qualifications include the Food Safety – Level 2
The Food Safety – Level 1 course is available at our Head office in Wigan as an open course or on an in-house basis.
