Food Safety Level 3 eLearning course content
Upon booking, you will receive your login information via email and will need to finish the course within 12 months.
The course is delivered on our Highfield eLearning system. The Food Safety Level 3 eLearning course is split into three categories (Food safety, management, HACCP). Each category covers different key subjects of food safety through a slideshow and interactive activities.
The categories cover the following units:
- An introduction to food safety.
- Understand how to utilise food equipment and premises and why they are designed as they are.
- Pest control and food pests.
- Control contamination hazards, why it’s important and the measures you put in place from purchase to service.
- Food poisoning and how to control it?
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points and food safety management systems
- Microbiological hazards and how to combat and prevent them.
- Contamination hazards and how to control them?
- Personal hygiene of yourself and others.
- Supervisory management protocols and how to implement them.
- Food safety enforcement and legislation.
- Disinfection and cleaning of food preparation areas.
Assessment
Throughout the course, you will complete regular knowledge checks to help you to stay on track. To pass the course, you will have to complete a multiple-choice question assessment.
How long is the Food Safety Level 3 online course?
The average completion time of this course is 9-14 hours.
The online platform allows you to learn at your own pace; you can dip in and out of the course as you please and around your schedule.
