The LU Worksite Safety & Security Induction (LU-WSSI) is a mandatory requirement for anyone accessing London Underground infrastructure. It ensures you understand the working environments across the network and equips you with the knowledge to work safely, securely, and responsibly.
The Basic Track Awareness (BTA) course is an entry-level requirement for anyone who needs to work in or around railway tracks on the London Underground. It ensures you understand how to stay safe in the track environment when trains or maintenance vehicles are moving and when electrical currents may still be active.
The Track Trolley Controller course qualifies individuals to safely operate London Underground–approved track trolleys in compliance with LU rules and current legislation. It sets out the minimum requirements for safely handling, checking, and deploying track trolleys.
The Site Person in Charge (SPC) course qualifies individuals to manage worksites safely on London Underground infrastructure, ensuring compliance with current legislation and LU rules.
The Protecting Workers on the Track – Engineering Hours (PWT-EH) course qualifies individuals to manage worksites and protect staff during Engineering Hours on London Underground infrastructure. It ensures compliance with legislation and LU rules, while giving participants the knowledge and skills to provide safe working environments, monitor activity, and take corrective action when required.
The Fire Watchperson course qualifies individuals to safely carry out fire safety duties on London Underground infrastructure. It ensures participants understand hot work practices, fire prevention measures, and how to respond effectively in the event of a fire, all while complying with LU rules and legislation.
