Fit2Fit is an accrediting body for face fit testing and associated training courses.
Fit2Fit’s aim is to improve the respiratory health of workers wearing tight fitting Respiratory Protective Equipment through being face fit tested by a Fit2Fit Accredited provider.
In the UK, fit testing for respiratory protective equipment (RPE) is a legal requirement. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), recommends that fit testing should be conducted before a worker first uses any tight-fitting RPE. This should be repeated at least every two years for most workplace situations. Certain industries, such as healthcare, may require more frequent testing due to the critical nature of their respiratory protection needs.
At 3B Training, we have a team who are approved by Fit2Fit for Face Fit Testing. To achieve their approval for Face Fit Testing, they have been individually assessed by Fit2Fit.
Having a face fit test will ensure that your mask is suitable for you by achieving a seal.
This Face Fit train the tester course teaches you how to conduct face fit tests on your workforce.
While you don’t have to be Fit2Fit approved to conduct a face fit test, the test should be conducted by a trainer, competent fit test operator.
