Delivery Options

Public Classroom Courses

Classroom-based SMSTS course can be delivered as a five-day block or as an SMSTS Day Release. Both versions are available in our training centres throughout the country. The tutor delivers the course in a traditional classroom format to up to 20 delegates at a time. The day release format is favourable to companies who prefer not to have a Site Manager off-site for a whole five days in a row. It also allows delegates more time to revise and do their work at home whilst managing work commitments at the same time.

We have multiple public dates available to book throughout the year. Classroom courses can be booked on over the phone or online by delegates themselves or companies booking on behalf of their employees.  View all our upcoming CITB SMSTS course dates here.

Remote Learning

The Remote Learning SMSTS Day Release offers even more flexibility than the classroom course. Delegates don’t even need to be off-site at all to attend the course, they can log in from site via a computer, phone, laptop or tablet. The course is delivered on virtual conferencing software Zoom. Delegates simply log into the virtual classroom via the link provided to access the course. The tutor will deliver all the same content as the classroom-based course and delegates are still able to interest with fellow delegates and the tutor over webchat and video. Delegates are provided with a downloadable digital copy of the coursebook and the final exam is completed online.

We have multiple dates for the Remote Learning course available to book online or over the phone.

In-house Courses

If one of our public course dates doesn’t fit in with a clients schedule, we can arrange an in-house course specifically for their delegates. This course can be delivered in the classroom or remotely whenever they please within the 5 weeks. To be able to deliver an in-house directors course there must be a minimum of 4 delegates and no more than 20 (10 for a remote learning course). We price each in-house course on a case by case basis, the price may vary depending on location, delivery style and delegate numbers.

If you would like us to quote, simply complete the in house training enquiry form on this page and one of the team will be in touch.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements; however, delegates be about to hold or hold, a construction manager type role. The main requirement is that the delegate can speak, understand and write English well. Photographic ID and the delegates national insurance number must be provided on the first day of the course.

To attend the Remote Learning course delegates must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone that uses a microphone and webcam.
