CITB Grants for Short Courses Doubles!

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has announced that from 1st April 2023, CITB grant rates for short courses will double!

Does the CITB grant pay courses in full?

If a delegate completes a short course from 1st April 2023, you can claim £60, £140 or £240 per delegate, depending on what tier CITB class the course as.

Am I eligible for the CITB training grant? 

To apply for this grant, you must be a CITB registered company and be up to date with your Levy Returns.

You must also adhere to the specific requirements for this grant, as well as following CITB’s Grant Scheme policy.

What is the CITB Levy?

The Levy applies to all employers when construction activities takes up more than half of their total employees time, this include subcontractors.

The purpose of this Levy is to support employers in construction to ensure that the industry has a skilled workforce.

What do CITB determine as a ‘short course’? 

CITB class a short course as training that lasts from 3 hours to 29 days.

The training must also be focused around improving skills across the construction industry.

Which 3B courses are CITB Grant Claimable?

3B Training is a CITB Approved Training Organisation. This means that we deliver approved construction training courses and qualifications that meet the industry standards for training.

Our CITB Grant Claimable courses are from half a day of training, all the way through to 10 days of training.

How to get CITB funding? 

3B Training make CITB grant claims easy! All you need to do is provide us with your CITB Levy Number, and we’ll do the rest (unless the course requires you to submit a manual claim).
