We have recently adopted the Bud training management platform which will support the delivery of our NVQ qualifications. This means, as of March 2021, all Construction Supervisory & Management NVQs from Levels 3 to 7, and Health & Safety NVQs at Levels 3 and 6 will now be offered on the Bud e-portfolio platform.
Our Executive Chairman, Dave Brooks, said, “We are passionate about delivering high-quality NVQ’s; the competency of UK workers is crucial to the construction industry and an area where there must be no corner-cutting. Our mission is to provide good value, quality assured NVQ’s nationwide, ultimately to ensure more and more people are correctly trained and working safely. Bud will enable us to provide our customers and learners with greater visibility throughout their NVQ, and with greater visibility, comes improved accountability and performance from learners and assessors alike.”
Moving to the Bud platform comes with many benefits for our NVQ learners. The platform captures information consistently which provides real-time access to learners NVQ programmes. This means that we can monitor learner progress, and schedule and record assessments. Overall, improving the experience of learners and adding value to customers’ businesses.
Using Bud for our NVQ qualifications will also provide our customers with live and accurate data which will give us an insight into our processes; allowing us to improve efficiencies and speed up delivery without compromising quality.
Dave Brooks continued to say, “Before the pandemic, our business was all paper-based NVQs and classroom-based training. Since March we have been delivering remotely, and since November more than 90% of our training has been online. The pandemic has accelerated digital enablement which has been good for our business with reduced costs, better control, and the ability to service a higher volume of learners without increasing staff numbers. I was keen for 3B to adopt an end-to-end NVQ delivery platform and I knew that with the ‘quality mark’ of Heather Frankham (Bud’s Founder) Bud would be the best in class.”
In any business, leadership and management play different roles. When it comes to health and safety, understanding that distinction becomes even more important. Managers often focus on systems and procedures. Leaders, on the other hand, shape the culture and set the standards. In high-risk sectors like construction, strong health and safety leadership can save lives. […]
On the night of 14 June 2017, Grenfell Tower became a stark symbol of systemic failure — an electrical fault, rampant flammable cladding, dangerous insulation and a fractured regulatory landscape combined to claim 72 lives. The tragedy exposed critical fractures in building safety regimes, fragmented oversight, a lack of foresight and due care building-product manufacturers […]
Construction sites are busy, high-risk environments. Without the right training, accidents can happen quickly, often with serious consequences. That’s why hazard awareness isn’t optional. It’s the foundation of a safe, productive site. If you’re new to construction or returning after time away, understanding the risks around you is essential. From lifting materials to working at […]
