National Stress Awareness Month has occurred every April since 1992. The month is designed to get people thinking about modern stress, how to spot the signs in yourself and others and how to prevent it.
At 3B Training we care about mental and physical health, high levels of stress can cause damage to a person if it isn’t managed. Stress can be a gateway to anxiety and depression as well as physical health problems such as insomnia and heart disease to name a few. Take a look below at a few ways we are working as a company to help raise awareness about National Stress Awareness Month.
We are putting together an event to tackle daily stress by offering two free yoga classes at our Wigan centre to the local community on National Stress Awareness Month.
The 30-40 minute classes consist of learning techniques to relieve stress and anxiety. Techniques include breath work (pranayama); helping to shift over to the parasympathetic system. Yoga postures; to reawaken the consciousness and release physics stress. As well as meditation and aromatherapy.
Mindfulness and yoga is a great way to reduce stress, it allows you to switch off from everything that you are doing and focus.
